http://instatbt.com/Place/finn-bay-farm/1241036375918952Finn Bay FarmThe Labour Day long weekend was almost hard to believe.
Our wonderful friend invited us to come enjoy one of his incredible, secluded guest houses on his expanding retreat.
He encouraged us saying, "Retreat from the everyday. Follow the 101 highway of the Sunshine Coast all the way to mile zero at Lund, take that last right and past the paved road to Finn Bay Farm." Peaceful and rejuvenating, this Mongolian yurt wraps your dreams with warmth. The retreat cabin's deep soaker tub, wood burning fireplace, and excellent kitchen provide all the comforts for you, your family or several guests. The deck stretches over the hillside and into the forest. The yurt share this space with patio seating for six, a pair of loungers and a massive bbq!
No room for the hot tub so it is placed just off to the side on the lower patio. The view is stunning by day or by starry night.
We are so very thankful and fortunate.

Killer show, and my first concert at the PNE. Must be a crazy summer when it takes two weeks to Instagram...
After hiking the joffrelakes a few weeks ago we passed an overturned car in the ditch. Without hesitation, Dawn stopped and we all ran to check the situation. We helped the three people out of the flipped car, gathered wallets, phones, insurance, etc. and took them to the Pemberton Hospital. It was quite an adrenaline pumping experience and thankfully they're injuries were minor, though no less traumatic.
Mace asked later on about why we did that and about what we were thinking about during the 'rescue'. Briefly Shawn said, "I did not really think more than for them. We do what we can." The following week we received a call from Eric, one of the occupants, inviting us to dinner. He was thankful beyond words and would not allow us to refuse.
Tonight, he lavished us with a feast served with grace by his staff at Mott 32. Delicate,
complex, refreshing, inspiring cuisine complimented by the finest selection from their renown sommelier.
Gratitude, is shown by doing what we can.
