MitsuMitsu2017-09-09Ohmagad is it not time for X Factor, beer and crisps yet?😴 Basically spent the day so far shipping children around to various locations. Have an hour before I'm back on the bike to pick The Boy up from his Nintendo play date. Also apparently I run faster than I cycle?? 😂🐌(Although I can no longer change the gears on my bike so it is like a spinning class every time I go out 😒) thatveganmamalifehttps://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/21569197_1879076335689795_8654886407459831808_n.jpg2017-09-09
JHJH2017-08-31Friday March 11 1988 saw me sent to RAF Northolt in West London to photograph the body of Major Hugh Lindsay, a friend of the Prince of Wales, who had been killed in an avalanche that nearly took the future Kings life. The position given to us at the airfield was a long way back but I moved even further with one other photographer and shot the picture of the mourning royals and Major Lindsays wife on a 600 mm lens with a 1.4 converter in tricky lighting as when the sun came our it was totally unworkable. Driving back to The Times through the hideous Friday rush hour traffic, this was well before deving and scanning film at an event let alone digital, I had plenty of time to worry about wether the exposure or even focus was right. Anyone who has never shot film will not understand that glorious moment when you discover that of the 7 or 8 frames I shot their were usable ones. My reward a good front page showing the next day The Times princecharlesprincessdianaduchessofyorkrafnortholtpressphotographernewspaperphotographyb&w photojournalismroyaltyroyalshttps://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/p640x640/21227330_868108370011968_2938270105961758720_n.jpg2017-08-31
gelflingprincess78gelflingprincess782017-08-31I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing on Sunday August 31st 1997. I was part of an entire country that was stopped in their tracks, shocked beyond belief. That evening I went to rafnortholt and watched princessdiana being brought home. I don't know that I'll ever see or be a part of a National outpouring of grief like that again. englandsroseeltonjohncandleinthewind1997kensingtonroyaltheroyalfamilyhttps://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/21148160_849007285273143_62328500975042560_n.jpg2017-08-31
