Stability upon ground contact with tall hips, firm glutes, and core braced. "Hard Z" position (Vince Anderson (Texas A&M) cue) with thigh/knee up (parallel to the ground) and toe(s) up.
2. Deadmill Accelerations... Strong horizontal push against the treadmill to get the belt going. Good heel recovery and drive of the thighs to frontside with punch of the foot DOWN under hips. Maintain "Power line" from neck down the spine and through the back of the leg at toe-off.
3. Pull ups with Leg Cycle/Heel Recovery... Leg cycle as you simultaneously perform a pull up. Emphasis on a braced core and complete heel recovery on the way up AND down.

I made the realization on marathon day that I've been running pain-free for several weeks now, so why not embrace it and set a new goal!? Waiting at the finish line at the HartfordMarathon, watching all the runners give it their ALL in the last few yards of their race inspired me beyond words. A few months ago I didn't think I'd ever run more than 3 miles again. Well, after a lot of rest and crosstraining, and new running shoes, I'm ready to kick it up a notch. Maybe I'll get my 10th marathon eventually (and maybe my unicorn 50k), but for now, my focus is on a winter half with a ton of hills.
