One of the best sunsets we have seen in Scotland was just outside Inverness.
The sky just lit up like it was on fire.
I think if you look hard enough you might even see Nessie in this one 😊😊.

I love this perspective. It really captures the wildness and beauty of this landscape.
It is one thing to be walking and be surrounded by this but it takes on a whole new meaning when you can see it from above.

Not to mention it is on the doorstep of the Isle of Skye 😊

This is by far my favourite shot from our time in the Serengeti.
We had been watching these 3 male lions for a while when this guy came walking right towards us.
Such an amazing moment when an animal looks right into your eyes.
We will be showcasing photos and video during our presentation in Toronto on September 21 with goaheadtours. We will also be auctioning off prints like this one and others from our trip to Tanzania.
So if you are in Toronto feel free to drop by. The details are in our bio.

Do you ever have those moments when you are traveling where you look up at a scene and instantly know you will remember it forever?
This was one of those moments. On the final day of our horse trek in Jyrgalan we were treated to the best scenery on our trip.
Jagged peaks rose in front of us and reminded me of the Alps.
Witnessing this scene on horseback made me think of the original nomads of Central Asia that have walked this route for centuries.

Located on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, there is an unusual place called Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon.
This red canyon was formed by the wind and weather over centuries and is a sight to behold.
We made our way up there in the early morning and we're treated to this magnificent sight.
If you look carefully at the top left of the photo you can see Deb sitting on the top of the ridge taking it all in.

There is nothing quite like being on safari in Africa.
Waking up to the sunrise and heading out to see the animals on the savannah.
Man, what an experience. We have been to Tanzania before but never got the chance to go on Safari here.
There is just so much to see. Being able to see it through our transitionslenses has made it even better.
Now we have seamless adaptability inside our hotel to outside on the savannah, day and night, and we never miss a moment worth seeing.
We partnered with Transitions® lenses this year because we wanted to show you how important prescription eyewear is in helping you LiveTheGoodLight. ad

There is no place on earth that makes you realize the importance of reducing your use of plastics more than Africa.
While we were just in Tanzania we saw first hand the overuse of plastics. And although they are trying to do their part they have quite a ways to go.
One way we found we could help was to make sure we brought our reusable water bottle. We filled it up each morning and used our Steri-Pen to clean it. Then we had little plastic waste while we were on Safari.
I was happy to see a few of our fellow travellers doing the same.
As we come to the end of our 4 week pledge to reduce our plastic use we have found that everything we have done we have now worked it easily into our daily routines.
Now it is your turn. Check out the wtandtc and their website http://toomuchtoask.org/ and take a challenge of your own!

One of the things that I wanted to see in this trip was lions. Well let me tell you it did not disappoint. I have seen so many I lost count. One day we saw a total of 27 lions! That is crazy.
What love about this shot was just the way he put his head into the wind and basically posed for us.
The wildlife viewing here in Tanzania has been nothing short of incredible.

But as the day was nearing its end we looked behind us and saw this. A freak storm was racing towards us and we had to make haste and head back to the lodge.
Regardless of a a few raindrops this was by far my favourite day on safari ever.

Such an amazing experience.
I have to say I am really impressed with the amount of lions in this park. They seem to be everywhere.
