Houston SparkmanHouston Sparkman2017-10-19A little tbt to a year and a few days ago "squatting" 615 lbs. This is not a legit squat to my standards because I obviously didn't hit depth, but back then I convinced myself it was. Regardless the progress I've made since then in just technique alone has made me extremely happy. I went from not really squatting 615 to hitting 705 lbs at a uspapower meet a little over a month ago(2nd Video). The weight on the bar is important but I've come to figure out my technique and depth have taken priority in how I look at my squat. It's improved greatly since this squat but I'm always striving to get better and make things perfect. Take a tip from squat_university that I'm always thinking about and don't just worry about the amount your lifting but the quality in which that weight moves. Trust me the better my technique has become the more weight I've been able to lift so don't always focus on maxing out and hitting such heavy weights if the technique isn't good.
