Saltworks College MinistrySaltworks College Ministry2017-10-23"A truly effective ministry of the Word must confront our self-focus and self-absorption at its roots, opening us up to the vastness of a God-defined, God-centered world. Unless this happens, we will use the promises, principles, and commands of the Word to serve the thing we really love: ourselves." - Paul David Tripp, Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands

Thank god it's Monday!!!
I woke up late but my mom saved me!!! One of the reasons I woke up late was yesterday's Skillet's concert!
That was my first time going to any band's concert! It was blast! I can still hear music ringing in my head.
At the concert, artists sang and talked about Jesus and God.
I re-learned about Christianity and even got an opportunity to sponsor a child in a poor country.
I was hesitant about that first , but I took one step, for if my action matter, I got to do it. As a man who will be a motivational speaker and English teacher, I need to fulfill my mission, and enjoy.
People work harder for someone than themselves, so my work will be more intense from now on!
Thank you all for supporting me too! I love you all and see you soon!!! gratitudelovegrowenjoyskilletinspirationmotivationgod
AndyAndy2017-10-23The final step is repentance which is a turning or evasion from sin. If you speak a Latin language you can break this word down to its essence: re-pent-ance. RE is renewed or coming at something again, Pensar/Pense- mean to think in Spanish & French- and the -ANCE- is the act of doing in French. Many denominations and authors very accurately describe this as the renewal or reshaping of the mind. Ask the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) to assist you in this process. For it is the Holy Spirit who will aid you and keep you from the sin of your former habits. For all of my brothers and sisters that have seen the inside of various hospitals... get to this sooner than later- it will save you a lot of suffering. You once believed, and you fell away- that's the origin of this. Don't be afraid to hit the road, and tackle this on your own in prayer, with Godly literature and with the help of deliverance ministries. Stuff You Can UseStuff You Can Use2017-10-23WHAT you teach matters, but WHEN you teach it can make a big difference. When we align our teaching topics with what is already happening in the lives of our students, our communities, and our larger strategies, we can be a lot more effective than if we choose our teaching topics randomly. So . . . what are you teaching this week? And why are you teaching it? https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/22709149_731159310406333_8406118581665792000_n.jpg2017-10-23

Ikeya NorrisIkeya Norris2017-10-23HappyMonday ✨Morning Prayer 🙏🏽 This one is so powerful! For a long time I struggled with guilt and shame, stemming from the many mistakes I made as a teenager & beyond. I was often condemned by people around me & eventually began to condemn myself. Once I began a relationship with God I believed He forgave me (that's why I confessed my acceptance of Jesus as my Lord & Savior) yet condemnation, guilt, and shame lingered. BUT how, when “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”-Romans 8:1 ...& who can even judge or condemn when we have ALL sinned and fallen short..🤔clearly I still hadn't grabbed a hold of forgiveness & needed to renew my mind (as Romans 12:2 suggests). GOD isn't like people. He don't say He forgive us then bring it back up. No He forgives us once & for all! Now that's not to say we just go out here & do whatever then say "well I'm already forgiven" but when we truly grasp His forgiveness from the realization of how much He loves us then we won't have to TRY to alter our behavior, it'll come naturally. & How great it is to know you're forgiven! 🙌🏽 I pray this prayer is written on the tablets of our hearts forever! •
