👱🏻♀️👱🏻♀️2017-10-20Today marks 3 years that I became a mother. My sweet angel, Travis Lorne O’Brien, came and left this world all in the same day as he died during labour. There are never the right words to say and his birthday each year never gets easier. My heart was crushed and my life was lit up and destroyed. Losing a child is unimaginable, even to us parents who’ve had to face it and you never really heal. I’ll never understand why he couldn’t stay here with us on earth, but I know he’s always with me and watching down over his mommy and baby bro. •

MotherbirthMotherbirth2017-10-16"I wasn't able to do all of the normal things a mom does for her child.... but I was able to give him a peaceful death".⠀
lindsaymostrom of pinchofyum gets incredibly real with us this week on the podcast.... baring all in her moving story of giving birth at 23 weeks to her son Afton and hoping against hope that he would defy the odds.⠀
Lindsay talks candidly about the painful decisions they faced, how they honored their sons life, and what healing has looked like in the months since the birth and death of Afton. We have been deeply impacted by her story and know that so many who have followed Lindsay's journey will feel as grateful as we feel to be invited into a deeper look at her loss and how it has changed her life.⠀
Deep thanks to Lindsay for her bravery and vulnerability in sharing this story. It is a story that is hers alone and also that belongs to so many.... but most don't get to talk openly about it. This month, as part of pregnancyandinfantlossawareness, we want to help bring these stories into the light.... and show that none of us are alone.⠀
This episode is a must listen... you can find it in iTunes, your favorite podcast app, or in the link in our bio, where you'll find more info on Lindsay's story and this weeks sponsor, ihadamiscarriage.⠀

AmyAmy2017-10-1510 months ago my Sam was born 8 weeks early. Having a premature baby was something that I hadn't expected in the slightest. During our neonatal stay we were made aware of the charity Bliss and the wonderful work they do in neonatal units across the country supporting the families of premature and sick babies. This charity is so close to my heart that when my friend and fellow preemie mama decided to organise a Little Lights Walk to raise money I had to jump aboard and help out! In the UK alone around 95,000 babies are born prematurely every year and Bliss is doing so much amazing work all over supporting these familie (including my own) that I feel I have to give something back. CherylCheryl2017-10-15I'm a member of an amazing support group on Facebook. We all share a heartbreak and a bond and understand each other's pain.
One of the mum's in this group has created this image and I just thought I'd share ❤💙
This is the ribbon that represents and raises awareness for Twinless Twins, and these are the names of the angels and survivors in that group.
Lily and Lachlan are in there somewhere...i hope you love it as much as I do 😍😍
