It takes time y'all. Work insanely hard, study the movements to get better at them, and stay consistent. Depth, technique, strength, weight and reps all went up bc I continue to want it bad. The goals I have for the meets in 2018 may seem far fetched to some but I know I'll get there. Those things will happen.
Also side note: hit depth and perfect technique from the beginning and you'll progress even more than what I have. My depth and technique were suspect for a while but they got better and then I really saw great progress. Don't give up

In a year's time I went from 495x7 to 505x10. Takes time to get stronger and get better. Also definitely need to keep stepping up my conditioning 😂 I was gassed by the end. Nonetheless it's a good PR to build off of. A lot more strength to gain.

Pull sumo or pull conventional. Lift in sleeves, wraps or gear. Whether you lift to compete or just to maintain health. Everyone, everywhere is always going to judge you for something, it doesn't matter what it is. Don't let others rational of something make you seem like what you do is any worse or makes you not as strong as someone else. All I ever see anymore is people hating on others bc they don't choose to do whatever it is is deemed better. I choose to powerlift. I love lifting heavy and getting stronger. It's what I like to do and enjoy. If you enjoy running, crossfit, bodybuilding or whatever is in between do it!! Do what makes you happy and go kill it. Don't worry about what someone says or if they try to justify what they do is better than what you do. Go do yourself and be the best version of yourself possible. Regardless of what section of fitness someone may be in we are all in the same boat of exercising one way or another because we enjoy it and it's helped for whatever reason. The point is someone is always gonna have something negative to say about your journey and path of fitness you choose so you might as well find something you enjoy and go hard as hell at it so no one has room to talk. Work hard, do things the right way and leave nothing to chance.
