https://instatbt.com/Place/new-york-new-york/212988663New York, New YorkForgive me as I do not know the provenance, but this right here is my philosophy. There is no such thing as a “before was worse” body and a “this is better” body. Everybody has strengths and limitations, and the entire goal of fitness, or at least my approach, is to expand those limitations so one day they become strengths. You lost weight? Congrats! Is it sustainable? Would you recommend your method? Would you go this route again in case you wanted further change? Do you love yourself anymore than you did before? There are no wrong answers, but when you start comparing yourself self to other times of your life or to other people, you sacrifice the joy and satisfaction that comes with accomplishment. Every chapter of your life has a different background story. Everyone’s behind the scenes looks different than yours. Be proud of your achievements, no matter how grand or humble. Lastly, as someone who knows bodybuilders, models, fat people, skinny people, star athletes, and ain’t ever did shit but chase the bus people, let’s just get it out of the way... There is no ideal body. There is no perfect person. If that were the case, there wouldn’t be different divisions of physique competitions. Models wouldn’t be required to be tall and slim. “Fat” wouldn’t be such a generalized term to basically mean “not skinny to obese.” Athletes would have the same conditioning as one another. Dancers and football players and fencers would all go to CrossFit to train before yoga so they could fit into their lingerie runway looks. See how ridiculous that sounds? The more shame and nonsense and contradiction we take out of the conversation surrounding fitness and our bodies, the more room for confidence and success we have for everyone to find a healthy, long-term, safe, and sustainable approach to their best fitness lifestyle.
FelicityFelicity2017-12-10A little Self Love Sunday action coming at you. When this photo was taken, I was by far at my heaviest weight this year, I would talk about self love and being comfortable with your body but I would still be too uncomfortable to post most photos or even look down at my stretch marks. (Yes, I have some pretty apparent stretch marks across my stomach and even my butt where I have gained a little extra weight a little too quickly. I still can be a bit weird about these but I’m working on it!) However, when I looked at this photo today and others as I reflected on this past year, I can’t help but feel so incredibly thankful for this curvy, lady lumps kind of body. It has seen me through one of the toughest years I have faced and I can proudly say that I am coming out on top of. I left an extremely unhealthy relationship, I changed my diet and exercise, left a job that was killing me, and even started to fall in love with myself and others a little bit more. Long story short... this was my highest weight but the moment I started loving myself a little harder but didn’t quite realize it ❤️ selfloveselfloveclubweighttransformbeinloveloveyourselfeverybodyisabikinibodytattooedgirlseverybodyisabeachbodybikinipolkadots2017toughtimesdontlastdoitforyouwinnersfabfindsbodypositivecurvyiateacheeseburgerbeforethis 👌🏻 https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/p640x640/25006047_407023469731700_7238424094662721536_n.jpg2017-12-10
