Then the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) called Bilal ibn Rabah (radiAllahu anhu), a freed slave to call people to the prayer because he had a loud and beautiful voice, and taught him the beautiful and meaningful words of the Adhan. .
When Bilal ra. had learnt the words, the Blessed Prophet asked him to climb a high wall next to the masjid, and call people for Salah.
So Bilal ra did what the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) told him to do.
The voice of Bilal ra. resounded throughout Madinah. People came running to Masjid un-Nabi. Umar (radiAllahu anhu) was one of the persons who came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, an angel taught me the same words in my dream last night." .
From that day forward, Bilal (radiAllahu anhu) became the first Mu'adhhin of Islam, all the Muslims around the world call the Adhan five times a day, just like Bilal did, all those years ago. .
The appointment that Bilal ra. was a black slave as the first person to call Muslims for prayers, shows that in Islam all human beings are treated as equals. Rich or poor, black or white, short or tall, we are all equal in the eyes of Allah swt. It is the piety of each individual that makes the difference.
Sweet EunoiaSweet Eunoia2017-11-23Trying to dress modestly? Add a scarf to your outfit (can be lightweight). They look adorable!
Why should you dress modestly?
For ages women have thought dressing modesty was because of men. But now these days that has flown straight out the window which im sure you can agree with when you go onto instagram.
For now I want to just say that dressing modestly isn't because of the other gender, think about how God will feel when your wearing revealing clothes.
Remember that the way you present yourself (both physically and socially) should be representing God. Which makes complete sense since EVERYONE judges based on what they percieve.
If someone is dressing in a way that reveals too much, would other people percieve them as Christians?
﷽ ﺣﺴﺒﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ﷽ ﺣﺴﺒﻲ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ2017-11-23Let days go forth
A poem by Imam Shafi’ī’, may Allāh SWT have mercy on him:
Let days go forth and do as they please, And remain firm when settled is the Decree.
Don’t be afraid of what happens by night, For the affairs of this world are not to last.
And be a man strong in the face of calamities,
And let your nature be that of kindness and honesty.
If your faults become too much in front of the people,
And you wish that they were to be concealed.
Then know that kindness covers all faults, And how many faults are kept hidden by kindness!
No sadness lasts forever, nor any happiness,
And you shall not remain in poverty, or any luxury.
Generosity cannot be hoped from the miserly,
For no water exists in the Fire for the thirsty.
Your provision will not be lessened due to life’s delays,
And it cannot be increased due to your haste.
If in your heart you possess contentment,Then you and those who possess the world are equal.
And for him upon whose horizon death descends,
No earth can offer him protection, nor any sky.
Indeed the earth of Allah is certainly vast,
But if decree descends then decree is constricted.
Let days be the ones that betray you at all times,
For no cure can avail a person of death. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/23735198_662616147461079_2300817480865546240_n.jpg2017-11-23
