https://instatbt.com/Place/bellingham-washington/213434940Bellingham, WashingtonSo I collaborated with my friend, artofjasonpitman , who's an amazing artist. He had an idea to take a photo of mine that had a good amount of distinct layers, stack many prints of them together, and carve out the prints at different depths to give the photo a 3D effect. And I reallllly like the results. This is an example.
We're thinking of doing a series of them. What do you think? Would you like to see more?
СУСАННАСУСАННА2017-12-11"A vast silence reigned over the land. The land itself was a desolation, lifeless, without movement, so lone and cold that the spirit of it was not even that of sadness. There was a hint in it of laughter, but of laughter more terrible than any sadness-a laughter that was mirthless as the smile of the Sphinx, a laughter cold as the frost and partaking of the grimness of infallibility. It was the masterful and incommunicable wisdom of eternity laughing at the futility of life and the effort of life." -Jack London (White Fang)
I sat reading Jack London's book not far off from where I took this picture. His writing is immaculate. His creative mind draws a rare picture out of the words he puts down. It's such effortless writing. Naturalistic in every way, it pulls you out of the urban to escape into the wild. You run right alongside the characters, you fight with them, and dance with them and it's as if their emotions are your emotions. As if their chaos is your chaos. He lulls you into a world refined in his most simplistic yet simultaneously complex vision.

RyRy2017-12-11The view out of the haunted light keepers house front door window at Heceta Head. I thought the wreath on the outside made an interesting frame. Not too shabby of a view! Sat here and had hot chocolate with my boy, visited Santa and listened to Christmas music.
