Phototherapy and Pumping
Thank you sweet angel donor mommas that allowed my tiny human to have breast milk his first 24hrs.
Nate was able to take 2mL to Bodi Tuesday night.
Slowly but surely my output has increased from mere drops (every drop counts!) to ounces each session when he only takes 6-8mL per feed.
Time to stock up!

11741240117412402018-07-21Cutest babies in the NICU? Probs. 💁🏼♀️ Axel (blue) wide awake and patiently waiting to be fed. Sometimes he gets full on meltdown cryfest when he’s hungry but usually he’s pretty chill. A few low-pitched “wahs” gets his point across and then he lays like this, waiting for the meal he ordered to be delivered. 🍽🥛 Jaxon on the other hand... well, you know when he’s awake, that’s for sure. 😳 He’s “spirited” as the OTs call him.
Jaxon likes to sleep with one arm up like this, sometimes both. Like he’s flying through the sky or just ready to wake up punching.
Now I understand when moms say their kids are growing up too fast. In the beginning I was desperate for them to gain weight and be “real babies.” Now, I want to freeze time (but fast-forward to the part where we’re home). 😍 https://scontent-amt2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/0fc40905e94ca70527b1d36fa5bf1cfc/5BCB2559/t51.2885-15/e35/37269542_211063219596492_2916934847328944128_n.jpg2018-07-21
42360455423604552018-07-21If you wanna know how things are going with Sam then pay attention to my profile. I’ve been keeping everyone updated as I am getting updates. Now if you are NOT family or close friends then please don’t message me personally to ask what’s going on. I do not have time for that. All my time is cuddling & holding Sam. If I’m not holding him then I’m holding my pee instead because he won’t even let me use the bathroom. I have learned major ninja stealth skills here because he even hears me in his sleep. Please don’t ask me what’s wrong if you don’t even talk to me otherwise. K thanks.
477245321947724532192018-07-21Me & this snoozing boy are so lucky to be alive today. The 21st of July marks a significant day in our lives, it’s the day that we nearly died after placental abruptions. Initially, when I was rushed in the scan showed a 7cm sized abruption but that developed into double its size and also a second abruption appeared. I faced so many fears this day, three years ago. Cannula, steroid injections, the thought of losing my baby & my own life. Little did I know at the time, I had sepsis. I didn’t find this out until last week. I knew my baby had it but not me. Hospital was my home from the 21st of July until the 2nd of August I believe... with Levi being born by c-section 6 weeks prematurely on the 30th. It wasn’t the most pleasant of stays as they just left me in a side room alone. We could of died but luckily, we survived. Today also marks the day I finally quit smoking for good. Under guidance from a consultant, I was told to not quit and to just cut down to 2 a day. Which I did. The abruptions were not caused by smoking, they were caused by the midwife ignoring my concerns and missing a urine infection which spread to my kidneys. supportplacentalabruptionsurvivorplacentalabruptionspregnancypreemieprematurebabyptsdtraumarecoverycsectionsnaphappybritmumssnoozingawayboymummentalhealthmumofboysnicubabyanxietypositivevibesrecoverysepsissurvivorsepsisawarenesssunroofbabycaesereansectioncsectionrecovery34weekerpreemiemummiraclesinglemamaraisingmytribenearly3https://scontent-amt2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/87b4dd6b7047cf0674133a050ab685e1/5BED4112/t51.2885-15/e35/36784502_215819365784434_3151004058085490688_n.jpg2018-07-21

808456398680845639862018-07-21Another part of our FREE PRINTABLES are these lovely preemie milestone cards ❤️
There are 24 different cards of each design above! They can be printed and used to honor an achievement for a premature baby.
I wish I would have made these when my little one was born, but to be completely honest making these were the last things on my mind when my little one was at the NICU lol.
I have seen milestone cards sold for a pretty penny so I decided to make my own and provide them for FREE to anyone!
Personally we know what it's like to have a precious preemie arrive early and surprise everyone, and we also know how sometimes people aren't ready....when our little one arrived we had nothing for him! No clothes, no bed, no bouncer, we honestly had nothing ready!
It really doesn't help that anything that says "preemie" on it is usually wayyyy more expensive, so we wanted to make sure that these milestone cards are always available so that families everywhere can celebrate all the special events for FREE ❤️

4582262934582262932018-07-21When you hit your third trimester you usually get excited about meeting your baby super soon! That was my case until it was almost about to happen a little too early. I still can’t believe I went into preterm labor for days and went through tons of medication to stop my contractions including a hospital stay and constant monitoring. But I’m so thankful to be able to keep this little nugget in there for a while longer. I’d rather take all the IV’s, shots and medication than having him in the NICU for months, going through the same. Momma’s got you baby boy! Plus - I wanna keep this cute baby bump for a while longer and keep feeling his strong kicks (feels like those steroid shots gave him a boost of energy - he’s stronger than ever 😂). Did anybody else go through preterm labor or birth? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ nicunicubabypretermlaborpretermbirthhighriskpregnancypregnancypregnantbabybumpmaternityinspirepregnancypregnancyzonematernityfashionbaethelabelpreemielaborhospitalbirththirdtremesterbumpstylematernitywearpregnantstylemomtobehttps://scontent-amt2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/f7895cfe4f9baec2695666b2ff4a5108/5BE72E60/t51.2885-15/e35/37094970_1310705595731672_3099946105345933312_n.jpg2018-07-21
