911177091117702018-10-19There’s a metaphysical layer to this world that I’m not going to define in this thought but one that weaves noticeable patterns shared through unrelated expressions of this life. We know of this concept of “chemistry”; this idea of coupling various elements through some type of undefined electromagnetic attraction which when combined in various sequences create a new “something” that’s wholly different from the elements which make it up. Likewise and analogously, people when coupled and combined with other people become a version of themselves wholly different than they would be otherwise. People have a chemistry together sometimes bad but sometimes... sometimes very very good. I’m thankful. https://scontent-amt2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/33c1711cc9955a98b9133264aa766ab8/5C5D1B51/t51.2885-15/e35/43385824_698534640511845_3439094143264073182_n.jpg2018-10-19
162162428316216242832018-10-19Some people may think I’m crazy for working out on vacation. I’m dealing with jet lag (up at 2:30am) and had literally nothing to do for hours. A nice employee opened the gym for me early (6am instead of 7am). I was a bit disappointed with the lack of floor space but then he showed me the terrace! I got to do my workout outside on an 11th floor terrace with a view of the beach and the sunrise! It only took a half hour of my day.
I’m a creature of habit. When my routine is disrupted I feel off. So while vacation is meant to be a disruption to the daily grind, working out isn’t a chore. It’s self love and helps me better manage my chronic pain condition. So what’s your excuse?
