Tag a mate with glorious straight drives 👊
When driving the ball it’s extremely important to have your weight transferring through the ball. Pushing your head over your front foot. This gives you power, control and helps you hit it along the carpet. Using a tool like the ankorrharness like in this video or a band can help engage the right muscles and make the job extremely easy come game day. Tennis balls also help to make sure you are in complete control. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e15/25008412_393569434411359_4033494342764068864_n.jpg2017-12-17

Tag a mate who plays well against seam 🏏
Cracks are starting to open up at the WACA in the third ashes test. Best way to play seam bowling is with an clearly defined plan. Wait for the ball to be really full or really short. Defend and let good balls go. Soft hands at a 45 degree angled bat for defence. Don’t chase the seaming ball. Think positively and believe you can do well in those conditions.
Cricket MentoringCricket Mentoring2017-12-16HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?🤔
Comment below how you would feel scoring your first test ton for your country.
Ricky Ponting said it wasn’t about silencing the critics but more about Mitch Marsh realising he can do it. Mitch Marsh already knew he could do it - that’s why he was able to play the way he did. Belief comes first.
Believing in yourself at every level is very important. The more you play without performing, the louder the voices in your mind get. They start asking you if you are even good enough. Doubt creeps in and if you doubt more then you believe you may never get to where you want to go. The most important thing is believing in yourself when no one else does.
That’s why teach techniques on how to do that in our PEAK PERFORMANCE PROGRAM 💥 https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/24845960_165509897535970_5398503050434314240_n.jpg2017-12-16

Some serious striking from 13 year old teaguewyllie04 while using a conventional batting technique of keeping his shape to hit the ball and leading with his head to generate power. All types of bowling will benefit from a strong powerful hip drive. It will take the pressure off your shoulder and back. As a spinner it will help you get more turn, drift and dip. As a pace bowler it will help you hit the pitch harder and increase pace. Strong hips come from good mobility and power which you can develop through our strength and conditioning programs. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e15/25007924_1929656373717437_5367581592300552192_n.jpg2017-12-15

A truly incredible stat!! 👏🏻 Although the world’s best players make the game look easy, it’s never as easy as it looks. They are all humans and as good and consistent as they all are, they all still make mistakes. Their mastery of their skills comes through their thousands of hours of practice and their mindset. They use their brains to think through situations and scenarios in between balls but in the moment they trust themselves completely are fully focused on that moment which allows their bodies to do what they need to do, consistently.
Is your brain helping you or hindering you from performing at your best?? And are you training your mind to allow yourself to perform at your best, consistently? 🤔 DM us if you need help to transform your mindset and create incredible confidence and belief in yourself...

When practicing your skills, keep it simple. Keepers can use something like a stump to add distractions. Practice lots of repetitions to get it right so in a game you can clear your mind and get in the zone.
Cricket MentoringCricket Mentoring2017-12-12🏏CRITICISM🏏
How you handle criticism can make or break you as a cricketer. Internet trolls use to affect Mitch Marsh but know he knows to let it go. Whatever you do in life or even how you play your cricket, not everyone is going to like it or agree with it. You have to let it go and be yourself. For me personally no matter where the criticism comes from I try to work out if it can benefit me or if I need to let it go. If it hurts me or I get emotional about it I know that I may believe it to have some truth in it. So I take it on board and learn and grow from it. If it sounds like rubbish I just let it go.
I let it affect me way too much throughout my career. Especially from people in my own team. You just have to be yourself regardless of what others say.
I believe now that the more comfortable you get and the less you care about others criticising you the better you will play and the closer you will get to international cricket.
Criticism can come from the media, internet trolls, team mates, coaches, selectors or even your family and friends.
If you have trouble dealing with what people think of you send us a DM and we can help you. It’s never going to stop so you need the strategies to deal with it. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/25010945_152863902144252_6724296417474510848_n.jpg2017-12-12

Do you want up and cool down properly? Or neglect it like most people? One of the major differences between professional players and amateurs is the 1%’s such as taking care of their bodies. After all...it’s much easier to maintain your health and fitness than try to fix it once you’re injured or not fit. Don’t try to be someone or something that you’re not! Everyone is different and unique for their own reasons both as cricketers and people. Learn about your game and also yourself as a person and be comfortable in who our are. Being comfortable comes down to sticking to your strengths and trusting yourself. Work hard in your preparation then back yourself when it’s time to play! Being comfortable in yourself is what you need when you’re always under the microscope at the highest level 🏆

Tag the best player off their pads 👊
As the hands got lower and the head tracked the ball in and out of the shot, it got better. Working off your pads it’s crucial to have the bat come through straight. Hands stay under the chin. Head over the front foot and be able to track the ball in and out with the eyes. Bowling machines are great to practice muscle memory in an controlled environment.

You can’t control the decision from an umpire. You have to take what you can learn from it and move on swiftly. When going back to a spinner the key is to stay in an athletic position so you can adjust to the bounce whether it be high or low bounce. https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/25015354_304877790016421_6386348968783118336_n.jpg2017-12-10

Smiling and enjoying her whole innings. Gardner even knew she left a few runs out there being dismissed in the 13th over. https://instatbt.com/Place/tompkins-park/463623527363368Tompkins Park🏏WEIGHT FORWARD 🏏
Wherever your head goes, your body weight goes so as a batter you always need to get your head to the ball. One of the most common errors we see as coaches is players who take a BIG step at the ball and therefore they struggle to get their head forward. This results in you losing power in your shots or hitting the ball too which often results in it going in the air. A great way to fix this issue is by doing lots of underarm drives where you consciously work on taking a short step and pushing your head over your front foot and hitting the ball under your eyes.

Glenn Maxwell is having his best ever Sheffield Shield season and seems to be down to a couple of little changes he’s made:
1. His mindset and attitude
2. A technical change with his stance.
Lesson: There’s no point wasting energy trying to control things that you have no control over. Focus your energy on the things you can control like your preparation, attitude, focus, body language, routine, etc and you’ll be amazed at how much more focused you are when it’s time to perform! This is yet another example of the importance of your mindset and understanding yourself. Here’s a couple of questions to ask yourself...
1. Am I making sure that everything I can do I’m doing it right or to the best of my current ability?
2. Am I regularly checking my thoughts and beliefs to update and improve them when needed?
Well done gmaxi_32 👏🏻 [📷: Adelaide oval by psuri_ ]
Cricket MentoringCricket Mentoring2017-12-08💥PULL SHOT💥
Tag a mate with a powerful pull shot.
Being able to pull from hip height length makes it very hard for the bowler to bowl to you. If they drop a fraction short you can put it away so they have to bowl a little bit fuller.
Notice the weight transfer, little press forward and then onto the back foot swivel. Cricketers think you have to have large movements of the feet. But the transfer of weight with a still head is the most important thing. Shot hildieehttps://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/25008025_132993817381097_4790622756934778880_n.jpg2017-12-08
https://instatbt.com/Place/wyong-new-south-wales/227510369Wyong, New South Wales💥HEAD POSITION💥
Tag a bowler who knocks stumps over for fun.
As a bowler how good does it feel to hit the stumps? But as a batter how bad does it feel to hear the stumps get hit? As a batter do you check to see the damage after being bowled? 🏏 Coaching tip 🏏 This is a perfect example of your head and front leg needing to be in and stay in a good position.
The batter steps forward towards the ball but as the ball pitches he becomes unsure about the ball, this causes him to straighten his leg and his head goes back and up. KP always talks about trying to sniff the ball - meaning get your head close to the ball. If your front leg stiffens as a batsman it makes it hard to get your head close to the ball. You don’t have to over complicate it by thinking about where every body part should be, simply think about getting your head towards the ball.

If you are unable to control your mind and you are unable to rest it when you need to you will be fatigued and lethargic. Your mind needs the rest as much as your body does. If you are constantly thinking about what happened or what is about to happen your brain sends signals to body as if it’s actually happening. Therefore you can be at home after cricket but you are unable to sleep or rest because your brain still thinks you are playing cricket. That leaves you feeling exhausted. We teach you how to fully rest your mind in our Peak Performance Program. Check the link in Bio.
